PM Surya Khar Mufti Bijli Yojana: What is the plan?
Under the scheme, free electricity will be provided to households installing rooftop solar power, with 300 units of free electricity per household.
What is the grant amount?
The scheme will provide a subsidy of ₹30,000 for 1 KW system, ₹60,000 for 2 KW system and ₹78,000 for 3 KW or more systems at the current core price.
How to apply for the scheme?
- Register at the portal https://pmsuryaghar.gov.in/
- Enter your electricity consumer number, mobile number and email address.
- Apply for rooftop solar as per the form.
- After approval, install the plant through your DISCOM registered vendors.
- Submit plant details and apply for net meter.
- Following this a commission certificate will be generated from the portal.
- You have to submit bank account details and canceled check through the portal.
- You will receive your grant in your bank account within 30 days.
